Koumba Ndiaye, 6 months later!
It has already been six months since Koumba Ndiaye, sub-prefect of Bambouti, and several state agents were abducted by the Azandé Ani Kpi Gbé (AKG) militia. Public outrage remains high in the Central African Republic, while calls for increased mobilization for their release are multiplying. Faced with this situation, many voices are calling for more visible actions and more sustained official communication. The population, the victims' families, and civil society organizations are expressing strong expectations for the authorities to mobilize to secure their release. The lack of regular updates on the situation is fueling a climate of anxiety, even frustration, among the public, who yearn for greater transparency and commitment. As MINUSCA scales back its military presence after nearly 10 years in the country, especially given the fragile stability, is the Central African Republic ready to take over without begging for foreign aid? This is particularly true considering the incivility of the Central African Armed Forces (FACA) and the indifference of the Russian mercenaries (pompously called military advisors). In this context, expectations remain high. Citizens are calling for increased mobilization, concrete initiatives, and transparent government communication to restore trust and demonstrate that the safety and dignity of public servants remain an absolute priority.
