Aid Workers in CAR

The humanitarian crisis in the Central African Republic remains concerning, despite some scattered improvements noted in certain prefectures. Yesterday, on World Humanitarian Day, OCHA sounded the alarm regarding the plight ortages and the risks faced by aid workers, only $59 million has been mobilized out of the projected $264 million. One might have hoped that the Central African Republic—a nation in such dire need—would be a safe haven for aid workers, but that is far from the case; they continue to risk their lives to provide assistance.
